The MIM Mineral Museum also has a rich history associated with it. It started out as part of the collection within the University of Saint Joseph's Department of Geology in 1898 before being moved to its current location in 1948. In addition to showcasing some incredible mineral specimens, visitors can also learn about their formation processes through interactive displays and presentations.
The MIM Mineral Museum is located at Rue Sommeiller #9 in Beirut and is open from Tuesday-Saturday from 9 am-4 pm (closed Sundays & Mondays).
